The basic Mora knife has been made in Sweden for centuries by their skilled knifemakers. It is a very basic, extremely functional knife. It is also very compact in it's sheath. And the price absolutely cannot be beat for a knife that has been a standard for centuries.
These are carbon steel blades, not stainless. Therefore they will rust if not always dried and will tend to discolor with age. However, carbon steel is generally harder and is often considered easier to sharpen.
The wooden handle is quite comfortable, but many owners modify it to their preferences by sanding, grooving, or shaping it. The sheath is basic plastic and is made for thin European belts. You'll probably have to stretch the belt loop.
We carry this knife in two sizes, the #1 and #2. The #1 feels quite small but is a good choice if you prefer a smaller knife or have smaller hands. If you prefer a full-size knife or have larger hands, get the #2.
